1. How do you feel after eating that calorie/carb filled meal at McDonalds or BK? Or how about even O'Charley's?
2. How do you feel after eating a meal filled with fruits, meat, and vegetables?
Okay so that was technically three questions but whose counting? Anyway I have BOTH of your answers:
1. You feel full, sick, weak, you want to lay down, you're a happy satisfied but your stomach feels as if it's going to pop open and seep out.
2. You feel happy, light, you have more energy, you smile more, and you feel like you've been more successful.
And now I'll tell you why you feel those ways.
1. The "bad" carbs and fats that are consumed in your meal starve your cells of air, the large consumption you just ate have stretched your stomach pouch out {which basically means you're technically making your stomach bigger}, you feel satisfied because you've satisfied {temporarily} your craving of {horrible} carbs {because you're addicted to them}, and you're weak because you're body is working in overtime to try to process each thing you've just put into your waste basket {aka your stomach}.
2. You feel happy because you've seen articles like these that tell you how to eat healthy and what it means so you've accomplished something more than just eating a fat-filled meal. You feel satisfied because you have literally satisfied all of the food groups your body needs for that meal and not only were they rich in nutrients and what I like to call {good carbs} but they also filled you with water {from the fruit}, protein {from the meat}, and vitamins {from the vegetables}.
Now which one sounds happier to you? Young adulthood is the prime-time of your life AND body and it needs certain foods to stay healthy and happy {because you're metabolism is slowing down}.
Try adding less of the bottom and top servings and more of the 4 middle groups.
Treat your body and your mood.
FOOD HAPPY
As always just for you,
M.
