14 Netflix Movies to watch with your Valentine

With February 14th right around the corner and knowing how college students spend days watching Netflix I thought I'd help you all out just a little on what to watch in lieu of V-Day. These movies are perfect for everyone feeling a little love in the air.

1.  Breakfast at Tiffany's
It's always good to start with a classic.  Audrey Hepburn playing Holly Golightly seeks out men with money to marry when her real prince is only a few rooms away.  You have to watch this one to learn a very valuable lesson- money doesn't buy love.  And we have all wanted to be Audrey Hepburn a time or two.

2. Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks
Watch the perfect love story unfold when a beaten woman (the lovely Julianne Hough) escapes her husband to fall right in the arms of just what she needs.  And when your man looks away you can swoon over the brilliantly handsome Josh Duhamel.  This ending will surely bring a little precipitation to those eyes, the good kind of course!

3. GREASE
This one is made to put you two on your feet and even though you've watched it a million times, watch it one more and fall in love with that perfectly sexy "you're the one that I want" ending.  Plus take a little time to thank the good Lord that us girls don't have to fix our hair like that anymore!

4. 13 Going on 30
Jenna Rink wakes up as a 30 year old after her 13th Birthday Party where all of her friends had left her expect for her best friend Matt Flamhaff.  When she realizes she's in trouble she runs to Matt who tells her he hasn't talked to her in a while.  He dismisses her and leaves her troubled in the busy streets.  Watch this one to see that you can always find your way back to where you belong.

5. My Boss's Daughter
Proof that good things really do happen to innocent people.  Swoon over Ashton Kutcher's attraction for his boss's daughter and need to guide her.

6. In Your Eyes
We've all heard about that perfect bond between two beings that melts your heart.  This movie will definitely do that for you.  Rebecca Porter and Dylan Kershaw fall in love many miles apart. You need to see how bad things can turn good when you're finally with the one who most sees your world through your eyes.

7.  Dirty Dancing
If Grease didn't get you on your feet this one surely will!  A perfect film that shows the right one can be from a different type of family.  And let's not forget about that spicy scene when Johnny shows Baby that famous dance move that Ryan Gosling so graciously indulged us with.

8.  The Host
This film portrays how love can conquer all.  When aliens begin to take over human bodies, one human stays evident in her "Host's" mind making her eventually love her friends too.  The Host named Wanda rebels against her kind in order to find her human's family and boyfriend.  Love always prevails.

9.  Mr. Deeds
When Longfellow Deeds (Adam Sandler) inherits money from a distant family member he is forced to visit New York City when he meets an under cover journalist trying to get a story from him.  Deeds quickly wins her over only to find out she's a fake which sends Deeds and his money back to his hometown in New Hampshire.  Amazing movie showing you how a perfect gentleman acts, maybe your boyfriend will pick up some cute tips.

10.  Footloose
Okay guys, Netflix is sending you a sign that you two should be on the dance floor.  Footloose is not only a story of falling in love and finding yourself but it also shows that you fight for what you love.

11.  Don Jon
I must warn you though, this one is kind of dirty.  But it's also a heart warming love story.  Scarlett Johansson and Joseph Gordon-Levitt star as the main characters who fall in love.  But it's not real because Joseph just isn't satisfied.  Find out who satisfies him and why they are a perfect match.  Sometimes your problems can be solved with the right person.

12.  Princess Diaries 2: The Royal Engagement
Let's take it back a little when we used to swoon over princes and being princesses.  Mia has to marry so she can gain the throne to Genovia.  Mia then agrees to marry Andrew Jacoby only to fall in love with Nicholas who was hired to distract her.  Even though Nicholas is the bad guy he might just turn out to be the right guy.  Watch and swoon over being a princess again and maybe your man will treat you like royalty.

13.  Silver Linings Playbook
This one is for your inner most crazy.  Watch as Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence act in this award winning film portraying troubled young adults who end up being each others key.

14.  Beauty and The Briefcase
Hilary Duffs stars in this film as a fashion major.  She goes undercover to find out what dating a business man is like.  Hilary meets a man named Liam and not only writes a piece about him but ends up actually liking him.  Work on your fashion sense while watching love unfold.

As always just for you,

M.
